Sony Vegas Pro 23 won’t launch after first installation

Dear MAGIX Support Team,

I recently purchased a software bundle from MAGIX on September 15, 2025, which includes Vegas Pro 23.

After completing the installation of all the software, I tried to launch Vegas Pro 23, but unfortunately, nothing happens. When I double-click on the program icon, no message or error appears — it simply doesn’t open.

When I click on the Vegas Pro icon, I briefly see the software’s loading window appear, showing several files being initialized, but then it suddenly closes, and nothing else happens.

I also tried uninstalling all the software using the MAGIX launcher and reinstalling everything, but the problem remains the same.

Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this issue so that I can launch the software?

Do you have any of the old Vegas installed or previously installed?

Not at all. I should mention that the installation was done on a brand-new PC that I just received.

Did you install a French language version of Vegas Pro 23? If yes, there have been a number of reports on the forum of problems with the French language version of VP which Vegas staff have said they've as yet been unable to reproduce. The workaround suggestion has been to uninstall VP and to reinstall it with the English language selection.

I don’t remember choosing a language during the installation. I’ll try reinstalling it and make sure to select English this time.

Okay, I just reinstalled only VEGAS Pro in English, and this time the software launches!
Question: once I’m in the program, can I switch it back to French?
And for the VEGAS Deep Learning modules — should I install them in English as well, or can I install them in French?

Unfortunately no. French does not work and the developers have no fix right now so just use English only.

(Intel 3rd gen i5@4.1GHz, 32GB RAM, SSD, 1080Ti GPU, Windows 10) Not now used with Vegas.
