Sony Vegas Resets my Preferences everytime I close it

Says it all, I have a 7900xtx, a ryzen 7 7800x and Gskill ram 6800. Everytime I want to add a video to my timeline the app freezes for a moment, then it works. But eventually would crash so I have to save everytime I do anything. Tried looking tutorials online. Did some tweaking and it says that some changes need a restart. Guess what? everytime I restart the app it resets all my preferences

@Ismael-Rodriguez, open VEGAS, make all the changes you want to any preferences (track settings, etc...). Now CLOSE VEGAS. Next open VEGAS again and you'll see that your preferences are brought back. The problem is, if it crashes, those changes aren't saved because it doesn't exit properly.

This is the 2nd post by the OP, the previous post referring to VP22 without any mention of 'Sony'. Perhaps this post refers to Sony Vegas Pro 13 or earlier which were released by Sony. Vegas Pro 14 and later were released under the MAGIX umbrella after Sony sold the Vegas line of products to MAGIX some 10 years ago.
