One thing I really like about Sony Vegas Pro 10 is the stabilization feature. Do any of the newer versions of Vegas have this? I'm having trouble finding Pro 10 for sale anywhere.
Are there any other programs that can do a good job at stabilizing footage?
I know that Sony Vegas Pro 12 has the in-built stabilizer and can't imagine they would eliminate this from their box of tricks. On the other hand many people here and elsewhere tend to prefer ProDad Mercalli (now on version 4). You have to buy it but it really is excellent and is my 'go to' if I have rough footage.
Vegas Pro still has a Stabilizer listed under Sony Video FX in VP13.
+1 Richard re Mercalli 4 - it is an excellent product, an invaluable piece of kit for me. And what it can do with CMOS correction borders on the miraculous.
For most stabilization, I still prefer the Version 2 plug-in that doesn't require rendering out and then re-importing the stabilized clips back onto the timeline.
