sony vegas video capture problem :/

Can anyone help me? I recorded video from my internal laptop camera and it was fine and in real time. then dropped it into vegas time line and it was all sped up. i heard vegas doesnt do well with videos captured from other programs or something. so now im trying to capture video from vegas in DV and after i capture the video it just says "Exception 0xC0000005 (access violation) READ:0x4 IP:0x4427B3

idk what to do, im not using firewire if anyone asks me. (just found out what it is like 5 minutes ago)

VidCap seems to think it can capture from a webcam but I suspect it cannot.
Vidcap really is only for capturing DV over firewire and your webcam is neither.

I seriously suggest investing in a decent video camera. Somehow spending serious money on Vegas and not spending a reasonable amount on a video camera seem backwards to me.

If you're simply after some footage to play around with try a stock footage site such as Artbeats. They oftenly have free clips and they're shot with very serious cameras. That'll be more likely to get you inspired.

Can you download the video as a file or files, then convert the files or import them into Vegas, bypassing VidCap altogether?
