Soooo much free vegas stuff

cheroxy wrote on 4/5/2004, 7:18 PM
I have to admit vegas has a lot of free things available in its amazing community. Reading the post about how the SCVUG will tape NAB for us that can't go reminded me of all the cool things that we get pro bono from the community.

satish plugins (Nobody compares to this man!)
chienworks video and audio uploads
Veggie sharing at sundacemediagroup.com
DVDA theme creater program
jpg wall program
great forums at sony, cow, dmn
great tutorials all over the place
vegasusers.com
SoCal Vegas users group
martyhedler.com tutorials
Billyboy's tutorials wideopenwest.com
Many people that have written scripts that make vegas run at mach speed
other plugins and programs for vegas that I can't remember right now.
collection of scripts at calderwood.org.

All this (great community and free add-ons) helps make Vegas over-the-top amazing.

It SHOULD be listed as one of the KEY FEATURES of vegas on the product page!

Thanks to everybody for all your help and support!

I agree totally BUT a friend of mine is totally frizzeled on Vegas becauce he can't seem to get the mpeg thing working. Vegas asks for a plugin to in order to be able to import mpeg and he tried a tmpenc or what ever but it still wouldn't run.

Any tips for this problem?

TIA!

Check your other thread.
He has to register the plugin (just follow the instructions that popup).

The DVDA Theme Creator link seems dead. Anywhere else we can get this one?
DataMeister wrote on 4/6/2004, 8:34 AM
The web site seems to be down at the moment. But you can download the actual program from here...

Hey, I'll tell you guys what I'll do...

Post the urls here of all the third party plugins, scripts, groups, etc. you can think of and I'll create a page on my site with the full list and links. That way you can bookmark the site page and always have an easy way to find this stuff.

...that is of course if someone hasn't done this already.

Edward,

You should update your list to include the
- DVDA Theme Builder and;
- JPEG Wall

both referenced earlier in this thread.

Thanks for all you do.

Also add the link to Heroglyph titling plugin.

www.heroglyph.com

And include an easy way for us or the authors to inform you of new plugins.

I had already added Heroglyph but had not yet updated the website. The site has now been updated. Any other changes?
BrianStanding wrote on 4/6/2004, 2:04 PM
You might want to update your reference to Satish's site to specifically reference Wax 2.0, since that's the new flagship of Vegas freebies.

Other than that, can't think of anything else right now.....

Ed,

www.dvxuser.com has a Vegas Forum too and it's fairly active. Can't leave those guys out. Jarred Land has worked hard at a great forum that encompasses all things DVX-100.
