Sort By Tape

How do you do this in the Project Media bin? I'm very careful with tape number on capture but the "Tape Name" field is always empty.

Vegas 8, Vista, HDV tape sources and sometimes EX1 footage (which is OK if it doesnt have a tape number).

I know how to Sort and Search for various of the parameters, and I suppose I could this as part of the "Search Media Bins" option, but maybe if you hadn't used the auto add to media bin in capture - maybe?

"auto add in capture" sounds interesting. but I just capture and diligently fill in the tape number but I can't reveal that information EXCEPT when I've had the need to recapture. then it shows up correctly in the recapture screen.
