Those of you who have looked at Bloom's Blog will have seen this short "Piccadilly Furs" which was shot in a day (or less) in testing the XDCAM EX1. This type of subject (capturing an impression of people in a city) is one readily available to us all but it's so easy to be put off by the perceived difficulties of shooting people without their consent, having to hand hold, trying to be invisible.
Well Phil Bloom took his tripod, XDCAM EX and Letus Extreme to London by the Tube (that bit he said he didn't want to repeat) and shot this film to demonstrate the camera. Well worth a look for his approach to the shoot and his results; obviously most of the people were asked and there was no question of being invisible or hand holding. Just a bit different to the usual camera test footage!

edit: the file is 35Mb, worth a look if you're not on dialup.
