SOT: Any PluralEyes Audio drift in Vegas Pro?

Wondering if anyone is using PluralEyes with Vegas Pro and if so, have you experienced any issues with audio sync drift? I'm having that issue within PPro CS6 with audio drifting between 1-3 frames once brought back in to PPro and is yet another possible tick in favor of Vegas Pro if the audio drift issue isn't happening when working with PluralEyes and Vegas Pro.

I've submitted to Red Giant a Tech support issue specifically for PPro but I'm curious if anyone has experienced the issue within Vegas Pro.

To the best of my memory, someone once suggested using a smaller portion of the video clips to save processing time and speed things up.

I tried that and after the processing, I then dragged the ends of the clips out to full length and I did get audio drift.

If I leave the clips alone and at full length, the processing will of course take longer but no more drift.

It does not seem logical that using a smaller portion of the clips would cause the drift, but on my system and with my videos, it did.

I was using the original version when I tested this so now it may be different. My system is a whole lot faster than it was when Plural Eyes first came out so the extra processing time no longer matters to me.

What did you record the outboard audio with?

1-3 frames is actually quite a lot of drift.
Cut the outboard takes in 10 minute chunks, exactly at zero crossings (zoom all the way in), lock the on-camera audio camera, and align each chunk with PE.

@VidMus & @musicvid10 - I always drag the clips to the timeline in order along with the proper audio clips. I then send to PluralEyes 3.5 and run the sync and then have it come back to the NLE. Only then do I start editing clips at that point, making sure that I group the audio with the video clips. I shoot 24p (23.976) on my Canon DSLR's and record audio with a Tascam DR-40 or Tascam DR-05 at 96khz 24 bit. The only pre-processing I do is renaming the clips with a bulk rename utility. I bring the audio clips into either Audition or more recently Sound Forge 10 to do noise reduction then I will save as a new file only without making changes to bitrate or quality.

And yes - I agree that a 1-3 frame drift is quite a bit considering my clips are not typically that long and I break up my interviews into short segments for ease of working in post. Most interview clips from a project are no more than 3 minutes long, hence why I'm confounded with the drift issue.

I have not noticed any audio drift using Plural Eyes 3.3 or Plural Eyes 2. Longest stuff I've done with it is about an hour. I'm using an Zoom H1 to record.

I'm beginning to think this is an issue with PPro. I thought before I did any tests with Vegas Pro and PluralEyes that I would ask if anyone else had experienced the same thing. PPro CS6 is really beginning to show a side I don't like. Another yes checkbox in the Vegas Pro column
