Pretty sure Catalyst Edit will become the new Vegas Pro. I read somewhere that Catalyst has a new video engine different from Vegas, and finally supports direct playback and editing of the Sony Raw formats that has been missing from Vegas.

The UI is really different from Vegas, and so they are probably giving the resign a new name to not pull Final Cut X on Vegas users. Vegas 14 will either get the new engine or become the next version of movie studio.

Just got a 'NAB' mail from Black Magic design about their new 4.6K Ursa.

It weighs even more 7.40 kg! The weight has been the deal breaker for me for the previous Ursa.

How about their URSA mini? It is just 2.27 kg

That's a DIRECT competitor to Atomos Ninja2, but instead of saving to SSD, it records to SD Card.
My, ProRes LT format in 128GB was just 3.47 hours!
