That says it all. We've already got more than enough of everything behind the lens, the limiting factor now is optics.

Have they tried it? How much did the lens cost? How hazy was the atmosphere?

Actually, the pixel count is 119 times full HD, while the resolution is 19580/1920 = 10 times full HD. (The term "Resolution" derives from the number of lines you can resolve, and therefore is a linear, not area, measurement.)
