SOT: Skin Detail - Warning

Think I finally worked out how I managed to badly screw up some footage from an A1, dumb me had Skin Detail dialled in. Probably OK for CUs but a WIDE shot with lots of people in it, oh dear.

Next time I can get me paws on a A1 I'll try to repo the "look" just to be certain.

Thanks Bob. I just picked up an A1 a few weeks ago. I’ll have to watch out for that. Haven’t use Skin Detail yet.

I could be way off base of course.
At the very least check just what it's doing to the shot.

I seem to recall Spot mentioning it with regard to the Z1 at his NAB course. I think he said it was a big 'don't go there'.

Yes, you want to avoid using skin detail on those wide shots that contain more than one face under various lightings. It can make people be a little harsh and it's a challenge to fix in post. I speak from experience on this one...
