sound @ 44.100

When you start vegas the template is set on the sound tab to 44.1 shouldn't you set this to 48.0 because when you capture dvd video from you camcorder that is what the sound is. Comparing this to adobe premier it is set to 48.0. I just want to know what this should be set to? Is 44.1 fine for should I re-adjust this to 48.0 and what would the advantange be. Thanks as always.

DV is either 32 or 48K. You can change the Default template to what formats you normally work with.

ok, thanks for that. I was just wondering why vegas defaults to 44.1.

I think the answer to your question is that if you set the Project video properties to DV it doesn't automatically change the Project audio properties. Click on the Audio tab, set it to 48khz, then check the box that says "Start all new projects with these settings." You should be good to go.
