Sound Forge Help (Cross Post) SPOT?

wolfbass wrote on 12/16/2004, 1:31 AM
Hi Guys!

I'm trying do adjust the eq on a track, but I cant get the eq window up.

I go to Process>EQ>Graphic (or paragraphic or parametric) and click but I can't find the window.

I click on any of the others and they appear on the screen fine. (EG resample or volume)

Forgive me if this is something simple, but how do I get the EQ window (Dialogue box?) to appear?

Cheers,

Andy

Wolfie? Is this the first time its happened? You've been able to see the EQ windows before? .. Just fired up SF and there are all there . . You registered or whatever?

I haven't tried to see the EQ before grazie. I had that trouble with the noise reduction but that's sorted.

I want to use a parametric eq, and I click on it, but It wont appear anywhere. Lots of others do, but no EQ ones.

Can you see them in your DirectX Plug-Ins?

Can you see them in Vegas?

I can see a graphic eq and a track eq in both SF and Vegas.

In the PROCESS>EQ dropdown menu I can see Graphic, Paragraphic and Graphic, but when I click on them nothing happens.

How? . ..

Uninstall/reinstall. Sounds like either the plugin dll might have gotten moved/deleted or a bogus registry entry is pointing it in the wrong direction. Doing a complete uninstall followed by a reinstall of Sound Forge should take care of this, if that's the problem.

Andy,
If you can see the DX plug in the folder, then it's likely not added to your favorites. Try adding them. If that doesn't work, read on.
It's unlikely you need to uninstall/install.
The other thing to check is the Migration Wizard.
Start/all programs/Sony/Utilities/migration tools.

Hi Guys.

Thanks for the suggestions. As usual, it was something stupid that was the problem, but something that wasn't obvious. I loaded down 7.0b and installed it, and obviously during the install the Program did a refresh of the DLLs or something, because now the EQs work!.

Grazie: How did you help? By being you, an insane person in an insane world! :)

Thanks all.
