Sound glitching on mp4 from facebook

Trying to edit a file from yesterdays church service. It came from facebook live and was downloaded to my computer. It plays just fine with VLC player, but when I put it in Vegas, the sound is very bad. It is very low res digital and clipping. Here is what MediaInfo says the file is:

Which version and which build of Vegas Pro do you use?

kirk-dickinson wrote on 1/29/2018, 2:20 PM

Please update to current build 261 first.

These Vegas downloads kill me. I Ordered the DVD Media when I bought it. This 429 MB download may take me half a day on my rural internet. I'll get back after a while.

Keep in mind, Vegas is designed to work with Video standards, the video you downloaded is nowhere near a standard, so results will be poor at best.

I guess I just have fond memories of the old days with Vegas Video 3 and I could throw anything at it and it would work. ANYTHING. My download is running much faster than can be expected. I will be able to test in a little while.

Could I transcode to a different format so this would work better?

Well... Good news... The update fixed it. Thanks.

Is there just a patch to download, or do I have to download and install the entire suite, again?
