Sound hiccups..come back even after I remove them..

I've had this problem before, and after asking on here (and nothing really helping me) I figured out how to get rid of those dumb little sound glitches/hiccups on my own. But now, even after I remove them, and then after saving, getting out, and going back in later, they're back! Why are they back, and how can I get them to go away for good after I zoom in and fix them, or how can I get them to not even appear in the first place? Also, I think they're from transition effects and some other stuff like splitting sometimes and sometimes deleting.

Please help, thanks in advance...

What equipment are you running, how much ram, drives, etc.

Hmmm... you had this problem before (over a month ago)... you had some advice... you did something... it fixed it then right? Do that again. Or... are you saying that it didn't really fix it before after all?

http://www.vasst.com/resource.aspx?id=5a3b502a-db9d-435e-b8e1-bf66152c5161 has a script that will look for short gaps, this is from John Meyer. You may need to update it so that it's Vegas 5 vs Vegas 4 ready. I don't remember if it's a Vegas 4 file or not.
The hiccups could be coming from gaps in the timeline.
Also, when you zoom in, can you jump from event to event using the numpad, and see if you have any one-frame events?
Do you have anything set in the prefs>editing in terms of Quick Fade length?

OK, I'll check that link out..Uh, I don't know how to update it to Vegas 5.

And gaps in the timeline? They're like at lines where a another line is near it, and inbetween the two lines there's a slanted/curved line. Every time I start up Vegas and the project I'm working on, I have to zoom in on every little stupid 'hiccup' thing, put my mouse over it, wait til it shows a curve with an arrow for a cursor, and 'close' it up by moving it back into the line that the curve is coming from.

Sometimes there's two things coming out from one line, and sometimes there's two curved lines crossing eachother. I don't know why they keep coming back, it's really really annoying, though.
