I am using Movie studio 8.0 and I just Randered a file as MPEG - 2 with an Audeio trek and it works.

Then I just coped it to a blank CD and it plays good in my Home DVD player because it can play MPEG - 2 files.

But every now and then the sound Plays the same 2 beets over and over and then goes on then it may play the same 2 beets over again and then play on.

Now if I play the CD I just maid in my computers CD ROM it plays good so you will think ok it is just you Home DVD Player.
But it plays my other DVDs ok. So then you may say ok it is a Bad CD you are burnning to I did it 3 times.

And the sound file I am using is an mp3 file and it plays good on my computer and on a CD in my Home DVD Player.

So you put an mpg2 file on a CD, not a DVD, and then played it with your dvd-player, and sometimes your sound gives problems. Is that the situation?

YES and the mp3 that I am importting to use the music I know is good and plays ok.
Just when I put it all togather in Movie Studio as an MPEG-2 file and then take that and burn iit to just a Blank CD not a DVD it plays not so good in my dvd player.

It skips and my dvd player plays everything ok so I know that is good.

But it plays ok in my computers CD ROM

CDs contain a lot less information on the disc, which means that the data is spread out over a larger area. In order to read the same amount of data from a CD the disc must spin faster and the head must move faster than when reading from a DVD. It's possible that your DVD player wasn't designed to handle those demands.

What happens if you burn the same file to a DVD instead?

Why are you using CDs, not DVDs?

Perhaps because CDs are cheaper, and maybe he doesn't have a DVD burner? Just a guess.

Ok I just clicked on the Reply Tab is this the right way to update my post??

I use Movie Studio 8.0 to make my MPEG-2 video file and it has audio.

Then I take the file off my desktop and copy it to my CD Burnner.

And just go to file and then write to CD.

I have win xp pro so I let it burn my CDs

And when I play the CD in my Home DVD player the sound may repeat a fue seconds or skip.

Now if this is because CDs hold less Data on them then DVDs and my MPEG is spread out over a larger area then why do MPEG-2 files and MP3s play ok but not when I put it together into an MPEG-2 file

Yes, you've got it. Hurray!!

Does you PC have a DVD burner? If so, I think you'll save yourself a lot of time and trouble buy burning videos to DVD and leave the CDs for music.

If not, use the Make Movie > Burn it to Video CD (VCD) option.

Another thought, can you lower the bitrate when using xp pro to burn you CD? If so, try lowering it to, say, 7000 Kbps and see if that helps. It may be buring it at a higher bitrate than you DVD player can handle.
