Geoff_Wood wrote on 3/8/2006, 3:39 PM Sorry, again WHAT Vegas noise reduction ???!!! geoff brandondrury1 wrote on 3/10/2006, 11:09 AM Very very seldom have I used noise reduction. Since I'm the one recording, I can control how much noise is coming in. I've had good luck with the Waves stuff in times where I was restoring vinyl recordings. I'm not big on these plugins though. They help, but they knock your high end out and cause lots artifacts. Brandon rraud wrote on 3/13/2006, 3:59 PM brandonjury1, I find NR indispensable on audio for video projects, even on the material I record. It must be nice to have complete and absolute control over every person, element and track on a project. Recording studio OR location. Perhaps your trying to use excessive amounts of NR or possably using it incorrectly. ie: an accurate noise print. In Sony NR 2.0, the default 12% works pretty well. This assumes taking a new noise profile after each pass. 1
