Sound Visualization plugin

JRey wrote on 10/11/2022, 7:20 AM

I have searched the forum for a few hours looking for a Sound Visualization plugin. Lots of information on external solutions most of which are not really the solution I am looking for.

Two questions:

Can anyone point me at a free or paid solution that works with Vegas Pro?

Is there a developer here that would be interested in working with me to make one?

Thanks in advance for your time.

John

What I am looking for is an audio visualiser lets you transform music and audio files into dynamic animations but within Vegas Pro, hence the plugin. There are a number of online solutions and software solutions but it would be much simplier just to do it in Vegas.

Vegas Effects is part of Vegas POST and is not available to purchase separately. To get Vegas Effects, you would either have to purchase or subscribe to Vegas POST 20. The FX in Vegas Effects referred to earlier would probably be Audio Spectrum or Audio Waveform. Because Vegas Effects is cut-down version of FXHome's HitFilm Pro, those FX should be in HitFilm (they were in previous versions of HitFilm Pro that I have). There is a free version of basic HitFilm that may or may not include those FX. You may wish to download the free basic HitFilm program and see if those FX are there. If they are: bonus! You'd have to do the waveform FX editing in HtFilm and then render it out in order to import in to Vegas Pro. One downside of the free version is that renders are limited to HD.

Cameras: Sony FDR-AX100E; GoPro Hero 11 Black Creator Edition

Installed: Vegas Pro 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21 & 22, HitFilm Pro 2021.3, DaVinci Resolve Studio 19.0.3, BCC 2025, Mocha Pro 2025.0, NBFX TotalFX 7, Neat NR, DVD Architect 6.0, MAGIX Travel Maps, Sound Forge Pro 16, SpectraLayers Pro 11, iZotope RX11 Advanced and many other iZ plugins, Vegasaur 4.0

Thanks @Dexcon This is what I was thinking. This is such a simple thing I thought there might be a plugin I could purchase. Sound visualization is now more fashionable, especially for podcasts, which I also use Vegas for maybe someone will make one. The Hitfilm solution as you describe has the export / import issue and is not really a solution.

Thankyou for the explaination.
