space too large for project

I recently purchased the program and have a question that may show my
amateur status. My completed program runs almost two hours but the time space after the final event runs almost six hours and it renders the entire six hours.
I've tried to locate a simple way of reducing this unused space but no success.
If anyone has an answer, much appreciated.

If your timeline plays to 6 hours then there is something on the timeline that draws it to that point.
Go to your time line and click on the 'go to end' indicator. You know, the arrow running into the line. If your curser goes anywhere past where you think the end of your project is there is something on the timeline at that pont. It may be too small to see so zoom in to that point and delete whatever it is.

Originally the project did run several hours longer but from the tracks I deleted those extra hours. Although deleted, I had saved them using other names. I've now deleted the saved programs and the time space is back to where it should be.
I would not have thought of that without your help pointing me to the fact the project itself did not reflect the track deletions but apparently reflects the fact they no longer exist. Complicated yes but your assistance led me in the right direction.
Thanks.

There is no problem in having some trimmed clips etc in the timeline after the real project - just select the real project and render this part only.
