SPDIF input attachment

Hi,

When I arm to record audio, it gives me the error message that says
the following:

"C-Media CM8338 PCI Driver Alert
SPDIF recording doesn't work. Please check if you attached the
SPDIF device to CM8338 card properly then try again."

How do I go about checking this out?

Also, I am not hearing anything when I plug a mic/input in
to my Audio Plus 6400 PCI Sound Card. It seems everyone
has a Darla or MOTU, etc. Does that mean that my sound
card is too cheap to record vocals (or guitar) into Vegas?

Thanks

Jason

This sounds like a hardware/driver problem. I don't know what a C-
Media CM338 is. Check the hardwares documentation.

As far as not hearing anything, many audio cards and their drivers
allow you to monitor input. Vegas does not do software monitoring. We
rely on the hardware/drivers to do this. Again, you will have to
refer to your hardware documentation.
