-->> Quote from Sony Pictures Digital
“We feel that Vegas users will derive many benefits from using the Vegas keyboard, including reduced training time and increased productivity and proficiency with the software. These benefits will enable Vegas software users to complete projects faster, ultimately leading to more satisfied customers.” - Rick Hoefling, Sony Pictures Digital <--

That is a big selling point for me. But, does anyone with this keyboard agree with this quote? Is it worth the $85-95?

Thanks,
Jon

Scotty, sorry to hear you're having a virus problem, but I guarantee you that you didn't get it from either of those two links. If you have a virus, you had it before you used the links.

By the way, which link are you claiming has a virus?

Jon, the keyboard isn't shipping until the 22nd of this month.

In my mind, regardless of what anyone else thinks, shortcuts can't help but save time and move projects along quicker. My problem is remembering which keys do what! So I KNOW it will save time for me. ;o)

I think there is a virus on the 2nd link. I just went there any my norton set off a red flag that says this:

Scan type: Realtime Protection Scan
Event: Virus Found!
Virus name: HTML.Redlof.A
File: C:\Documents and Settings\*****.VIPDUBS\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\Z8OI6G6R\vegas[1].htm
Location: C:\Documents and Settings\********\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\Z8OI6G6R
Computer: DB9***21
User: *******
Action taken: Clean failed : Quarantine failed : Access denied
Date found: Fri Sep 12 10:26:05 2003

I deleted some info and put ***'s there.

VideoCurmudgeon --I think you should delete that link immediately so someone doesn't go there that doesn't have their antivirus program running

I'm using Norton AntiVirus and have had no such alerts. I will contact SafeHarbor and see what they say.

I don't get a virus warning from eigther link. It mihgt of been something unrelated. I use Mcafee, and I trust that more then Norton.

But with the keyboard, wouldn't you just get used to the keyboard shortcuts and not need the keyboard for long? Kind of like when you learn typing? I don't look at the keyboard much when I type anymore (when I switch to a different keyboard, i do cuz i'm not used to it). It does look interesting though. Maybe i'll get one when they drop down in the $50 range.
