i have migrate from adobe premier to vegas 4, but when i render with vegas i feel that so slow.
How do i speed it up ? if i have to buy a video card what the manufature ? can you give some tips to my problem ?
Vegas only uses software rendering. The speed of the render is controlled by the speed of your processor. Buying new hardware, such as a video card, will not affect the render.
I think with V5 you can split render between two or more machines...
And, as it's been said before on this forum, keep in mind that *actual editing* with Premiere is a so looong process compared to V5 that in the end, when you calculate the *whole* time you spend on a project , you may find that even with a longer render time, you'll end up winning some time with Vegas...I digress now, sorry...
To get back to the original question: TWO things to keep in mind for improving render times with V4:
CPU speed (like Dave said) and Memory (the more the better). That's at least what the manual says.
