Speeding up footage

Hello! I will be recording an artist drawing some sketches and I wanted to know if/how I can speed up the footage. Also, I use vegas 4.

You could apply a velocity envelope to the event and then drag up on the green line to speed it up.

#1. Place the cursor at the end of the clip, hold down the CTRL key and drag it backwards for a 400% increase.
#2. Right-click on the video event, select "Insert Velocity envelope" (shortcut is V) and drag it up for a 300% increase.
Do both for a 1200% increase.
