I am using an AT897 to attempt to record low level ambient sounds (horse riding in a 80m arena) and seen to often record short duration spikes, probably from my hitting activities.

Is there a fx to set a clip level or to remove spurious noise events? I am not familiar with the audio jargon and haven't been able to find documentation on the filters supplied.
