Split scene with two clips at once

Can someone tell me if this is possible? I'd like to create a clip that has a portion of it showing two different soccer players at the same time (from two different video clips) playing side by side. Basically a split. Kind of like the old TV tricks with telephone conversations. Also,..if this can be done,...can it be done without a harsh divider between the two different clips (perhaps a nice soft faded blend)....Is this making sense to anyone?

Read issue numbers 2, 3, and 4 on how to create PIPs.

Also, Pan/Crop can be used and you can use the Border effect to soften the edge. Remember the "upper-most" track will be on top.

Video Mach makes this easy. You can do 2 screens, 4, 6, Brady bunch, I beleive up to 72 different screens. I synch mine on the timeline, render each camera view to a separate track of equal duration, open each in Video Mach and render into 1 avi. Good Luck, John

Track motion makes this child's play in Vegas. No need to go out to a separate program for this. All you have to do is drag the border of each clip smaller and position it and you're done.
