doing a piece where footage is running then using track motion three videos fly in one at a time creating 3 sections over the previous video , then they fly out one at a time all looks good in video preview.
When i render to wmv there is a gap between two of the videos showing the video on the lower track,, hmmm. finally just rendered to dv and rendered that to wmv, which is fine , but cant figure out why it wont render direct to wmv correctly, any ideas ?
thanks

I get this all the time with wmv encoding - various placement of masks and picture in pictures not appearing correctly in wmv. My only suggestions is that you render the file to AVI first (uncompressed if you have drive space for it) and then render your wmv from the AVI.

Cheers

edit: ah yes - I see you've already worked that out for yourself. I've never found anyway to correct the errors in wmv ....

Because WMV uses a square pixel 640x480 set up, this can happen. If the final destination is WMV square pixel and you are going to put PIP in like this, I suggest setting the project settings at 640x480 progessive with square pixels. Then use pan and crop to make sure that all events are matched to the output aspect.

When not doing PIP it is usually enough to just set the render properties to Stretch video to fill output frame size (do not letterbox).
