Split screen event

minna415 wrote on 10/20/2004, 4:22 PM
Can someone please tell me how to do a viewable split screen on an Event or clip? And I'm obviously not talking about the "split screen view" button on the lower right, but what a person would see in the movies when there's 2 different images split down the middle simultaneously. I've tried everything the tutorial says with parent/child compositing - to masking - yet nothing. I'm sure its something simple but yet getting overlooked.
Thanks for the help as always!

There is a gazillion ways to do it, a pretty simple way is to put cookie cutter on one on the events ,choose pic in pic and then adjust the size and position.

Good luck, i gotta go watch a ball game or I'd give you more info,

Please do a search for 'split screen'. This has been asked and answered several times (at least).

Thank you Grazie! Absolutely, without a doubt -its people who are civil and patient like you - that make people like me wanna keep on while dealing with a deadline, and a daunting software from the beginning like Vegas 4. Thank god I have put in alot of time in with Acid or I would have already tossed my computer off the balcony dealing with Vegas.
Thanks again.

" . . . I have put in alot of time in with Acid " oh yes yes . . ACID makes me "see" how an edit will be and Vegas forms sound-pictures which sparks an idea within Acid! . . . I just love the WHOLE quartet of Vegas:Acid:SF:DVDA2 . . .

Keep the faith!
