Hello All,

In regards to a thread on DMN about rare cases of the Class on Demand Vegas 4.0 Training discs playing back poorly/not at all..........

Let me start by saying that we are ALL OVER this issue!

But before I address the technical aspect, let me make one thing absolutely clear. The VAST majority of the feedback we're getting is extremely positive. " Spot did an outstanding job with the content" and "the image quality is terrific" are just two of the numerous quotes we've heard. Those positive comments totally outweigh the few compatibility speed bumps we've encountered.

We've heard a few isolated cases (only four with over a hundred disc sets shipped) including these threads indicative of what seems to be an incomparability issue with some players.

The incompatibility comments we've received are helpful but we need more detailed data so we can quickly and accurately resolve this. Here's what we're doing to keep your trust and resolve this situation.
1) We've created a page on our web site dedicated to gathering the specific data we need to completely understand, and then solve, this issue (http://www.classondemand.net/vegas_tech.htm). This page will be live no later than 12 P.M. Central Time today.
2) For those of you who are having issues and help us by completing that data, we're offering a set of videotapes covering the Vegas title at no charge. This will allow you to immediately take advantage of Spot's guidance while we resolve the technical glitch with the DVDs .
3) Once we resolve this dilemma, we'll post the solution on this forum as well as our web site.

Our CTO is working very closely with the disc manufacturer to see what is going on here. You have my word that we will get to the bottom of it.

Customer satisfaction is what we're all about here and this falls squarely on the shoulders of Class on Demand. Spot, as I said before, has done a great job and he is not responsible for these potential incomparability issues; COD is. You have my word that we'll take care of anyone who experiences these issues.

Again, thank you for supporting our products!
Best regards to all.

Hi,
I was one of the people who reported a problem.

Last night I figured it out. There is nothing wrong with the DVD set I received. Plays perfectly on settop DVD player.

I have a dual head graphics card, with dual head enabled. Desktop resolution was set to 1152x864. With that setting I couldn't see the DVD video track (used two different players), though audio palyed.

I then set desktop res to 1024x768 and could successfully play DVD with video/audio on both the desktop and the external NTSC monitor.

Next I disabled dual head, reset the res to 1152x864 and the DVD played perfectly.

Seems the combination of dual head and a higher res than 1024x768 was the culprit. I am suspecting Matrox G450 driver at this time.

Hope this helps ...
Tom
