Stabiliazation Issues

So i just upgraded to 14, and can't seem to get the stabilization to actually do anything. I've attempted to apply it 4 times now (each time changing something in the session to hopefully find the working recipe) with no difference after it gets done processing. I used 12 previously as i could not get 13 to function without crashing on my main PC, and had no issues getting the stabilization to do its thing. I'm following the same steps and then it does its whole processing thing, then literally nothing is different. Currently using my lappy to type this as i'm making yet another attempt.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

The steps in 12, and the ones 14 prompts me to follow: Select the clip, click on Tools - Video - Media FX - Select the Stabilization - Add - Okay - then adjust the setting to the amount you want and hit 'Apply'.

Again, this yielded results in 12, yet so far each attempt in 14 has seemingly done nothing after it is done processing the effect. I typically use the "light" setting as i don't need a whole bunch and have some stuff i desire to keep near the edge of the frame.

Difference between stabilizer in MS12 and MS13/MS14 is that the stabilizer in the last MS versions must be applied as a MediaFX. How to do this, check the help file.

ummm, i'm pretty sure i just said i was doing it as the media fx...that is exactly what the help file has been telling me to do... but thanks for reading before you post...

I think i figured out my problem, apparently you can't really have multiple tracks whilst trying to stabilize a particular clip. That was my last test, i removed the second track and presto, it stabilized the clip i had selected. I don't recall having that issue with MS12. So from now on i'll just have to import the video i want stabilized, stabilize the whole flipping thing, then import any extra clips i want and then edit out the parts i don't want. Brilliant.

I have spend a lot of time to find a solution for my stabilisation issue on Vegas 14.

Is there a Audio Track about the track with the video event, no stabilisation will done. It seems, adjustment values will calculated from the Audio :-(

It works, if I move the Audio Track under the Video Track.

That may have been the cause of my frustrations, never even considered the audio would interfere. I never had to work this hard to get MS12 to do what i want...so frustrating.
