Stability tip from a Newbie

Not sure if stability, crashing etc are issues here.

Working on my first project now - about 20-30 hours of heavy editing and not one crash or glitch.

Here is my setup: I suspect Windows 2000 would be the stability key.
Vegas 4
Windows 2000
Direct X 8.1
Canopus ADVC 1394
M Audio Delta 44 sound card
Amd Athlon Thunderbird 1.2
SDram 512 megs

We users of Vegas are spoiled...we do not expect crashes.

You mean Vegas can actuatly crash?!?!? (gasp in disbelief). And to think, I re-boot my computer at work AT LEAST 5 times a day because Premiere crashes!

what's a crash? Is that when you are working on a Vegas project and you do something
amazing and you like jump up quickly and accidently knock over your monitor and
it "crashes" to the floor? So far that is the ONLY crash I've had so far!

But thanks for your post mikecazz, every bit helps!
