Stabilizer FX crashes a 720p50 project

I have a load of 50Hz 720p videos from my stills camera which I have been trying to edit in MSP. I started with a 1080i50 project but found bad interlace errors (cogging) so created a new preset for 720p 50 Hz. Everything seems fine now but for the stabilizer.

In the 1080i project it would stabilise the clips fine but now it crashes MSP every time, as the effect render is coming to an end.

Anyone have a workaround for this problem with Movie Studio Platinum v12?

I have had crashes with the stabiliser on some clips (25hz 1080p off Canon 2ti) If I trim them slightly in another prog (eg MPEG stream clip) and reload into VMS all is well.

I have had crashes myself. Restarting the prog and or rebooting may help.
Also, do not apply the plugin on the timeline, but instead, go to the project media.
