standalone media manager

I am a big fan of the media manager that comes with acid and vegas. Is there a standalone version or any way to get this to run in standalone mode?

Both of which may just be considered 'Organizers' as apposed to Managers... but these are the two I have used. I have settled on iTunes since I go back and forth between a PC & a non Intel Mac. Most of the Video Material I edit is QT based so iTunes works fairly well for me. I then just use the Browser set to Thumbnails for my Pictures/Still Media.
