Star War Text

I had done up a videoshow for an organisation using star war theme; where the text slated when it enters the screen. When its played on PC everything is good. The problem is when it is played on DV/VCD. The wordings starts to behave adnormally. The text "dance"; flickering.

The next thing is that when I use DVD Architect 1.0 to do up the DVD, it shows the same result.

What could be the case of it?

Please share your experience with me. Greatly appreciate.

Thks guys & gals

Two things. You might raise the resolution of the text, and be sure you have "reduce interlace flicker" set when you render it in the text properties. Maybe adding a .001 of gaussian blur instead will take care of it.

What you're likely seeing are interlace artifacts.

Thanks for the information and have to trouble you again.

I'm using Vegas 5.0 and that I dun seem to come across this selection before. Where do I get to carry out "reduce interlace flicker" ?

Thks,

Right click the media, choose Switches, Reduce interlace flicker. If it's Text, it's on by default. Try adding a touch of blur

Thanks man.

For this one, I have tried as well. Not much help.

For a 'touch of blur', I will try that out. Thanks man.

However, will the following items in the template cause this phenomenon as well? Items like:
1. Profile (High/Main/Simple),
2. Level (High 1440/High/Main/Low),
3. Field Order (Interlaced, bottom field first/Interlaced, top field first/Progressive Only),
4. Constant bit rate
5. Variable bit rate
6. Others in Advanced Video
Will these items be one of the flickering factor? How will it help when rendering in DVD 1.0?

This is tricky man!

When I watched the VCD in the original Star War movie, it has the same effect as mine. Not so presentable to give to client. A real headache man.

When I watched others production as well, they have this problem as well. Though it gives me some excuses to "excuse" myself, its not professional at all.

You have been a great help. If you unable to assist, thats okie man! I will check out with my side and will share with you when it has been resolved. Thanks for your in these few days!

cheers,
