Stereo Synth

I was recently given a stereo track that was mixed down to a single channel and another channel of ambient crowd noise, (room tone, applause etc). Anyone have any ideas of the best way to synth stereo the two together.
Sound is of a live performance, (Vocals sung to pre-recorded tracks) and Ambient sound from a good shotgun for applause & presence.
Isolating the tracks I have already done, I am now just trying to bring them together for the best effect.
Video I can handle, sound I would normally handoff to the pros, but no budget for this project.

Try using accoustic mirror with different settings for the different tracks I would do it as 2 fx busses each with a different variation of acc mirror, one with a fairly subtle environment, the other slightly more pronounced. Add the fx in varying degrees to each mono track, probably more subtle for the main audio, more of the pronounced fx for the ambience. Set to taste.
Hope this helps
