I posted earlier about a problem with a small project, which failed toward the end of the disc with a "No Sense" error. But now, I've tried a full project, about 4GB in size.
It renders fine, prepares fine, and burns fine up to about 95%. At 95% of the track burning, the last 5% flies by, it gets to writing the leadout, and the progress bar just zips through to 100% and I get the error dialog box:
The Command Completed Without Errors.
And again, the detalis are always:
'SFMMCX'-(17)
'atapi'-(3)
-'TDK DVDRW840G 1.06'-(0)
Module sfmmcx.cpp Line 1455
The command completed successfully.
No sense.
Status: 00000000
Command:
Sense: 00 00 00
Info: 00 00 00 00
Specific: 00 00 00
Extra:
I tried a DVD+R at 2.4x and 8x (the only options offered). And again, I tried with and without the database. Of course, there's no possibility to try -R or -RW, as inserting a -R or -RW results in "no device found". But, it DOES burn successfully on +RW discs.
I'm using TDKDVDRW840G, and used this burner fine with DVDA1. I'm almost certain I have burned a previous project with DVDA2. It seems I can no longer use DVDA2 to burn my projects. I can use Nero, or DVD Workshop2 without a problem.
I'm going to try reinstalling DVDA2, and I'm copying this to a letter to tech support to see what they say.
I don't mean to re-post this message again, but my earlier post presnted 2 problems, the other of which was responded to (no -R(W) support). This error is more urgent.
