Have uninstalled and re-installed (and rebooted) and when I go to Launch the software it gets to the "initializing scripts" and produces error "Vegas Movie Studio has encountered a problem and needs to close."

Can anyone tell me what might be causing this error and a reasonable way to correct it? I hope that I don't have to wait until Monday for tech support.
