Still image duration.. in current project..

Hi all,
I have a project w/ about 200 stills which have already been edited. I put the default still duration at 7.5 seconds, but am now thinking I would like to have it at 6.5. Is there a way to change all stills on the timeline to 6.5 without having to redo all of the work that I have put into the slideshow.

Thanks in advance...

There's a great script that will do exactly what you want written by JohnnyRoy.

You can get it here;

SetEventLengthAndCrossfade

Select the first slide. Right-click and "select events to end". Go to the last slide. Hold down the CTRL key and position the cursor over the end of the last slide. CTRL-drag to desired length.

Tried the Script that you listed, but I get a "variable timecode not declared" error. Do I need a plugin to get scripts to work? I have never used a script before. Thanks

Did you select the events before you ran the script?

Do you have MS .NET Framework installed.

What version of Vegas are you using?

The above "time stretch" method will also work but it will also lengthen the transitions and getting a precise duration will be trial and error.

That error means you are running it in Vegas 4 and it was written for Vegas 5 or the other way around. Change the SonicFoundry import to Sony or the other way around. Full details on how to do this here

BTW, Excalibur has the Duration Wizard which does this as well.
