"Stop" action

This would seem to be a simple thing, but apparently not so.
Have a 6 page, 30 chapter project.
Most of these chapters were dragged into the menu page rather than specified in Vegas with markers, because of the nature of the project.
When my client presses "stop" he or she is going to see that blue DVDA screen with the cirles on it.
I want "stop" to return to the menu from whence the chapter played, and not the blue screen, but I'll be darned if I can make it happen.
I suspect it has something to do with end actions or destinations.
But I'm not getting it.
Scoured DVD authoriing tutorial, help and postings here.
No more time for searches.
Is there a simple solution?
Thanks in advance.

Are you talking about while you're previewing the project or when they watch the actual DVD? When they watch the DVD, they're not going to see the "DVDA screen." They're going to see whatever the DVD player being used shows in stop mode. Usually, it's the manufacturer's logo.

If you do mean during preview mode (within DVDA), tell your client not to push the Stop button. ;-)

In either case, whether in Preview mode within DVDA or on an actual DVD in a DVD player, you can't make the Stop button go to a menu. The Stop button is for stopping. The menu button is for going to menus. When you push the Stop button on a remote or on the player, you're telling the player, "I don't want to watch this DVD anymore. Stop.

DVDA 3.0 introduced the option for adding a jacket picture, which is an image on your DVD that the player will show when they DVD is not being played (ie, you've pressed Stop). It's just a picture, though, not a menu, and not all DVD players support this feature.

The action taken when pressing the "Stop" button depends on the DVD player, as bStro has stated. However, a few DVD players have a "jacket" feature where they will display a still photo instead of a blue screen when the stop button is pressed. Search the DVD Architect help file for "jacket picture" to see how DVDA lets you add this to your DVD.

Thanks guys.
I don't know where a dumb ass like me would be without these forums and clever people like you.
This project is for teachers and will, I think, be played on laptops.
My experience is that some end users are puzzled when they play menu-based DVDs with WMP.
I know I am.
They expect the "stop" to take them somehere.
Maybe to avoid calls,a short set of directions is in order, a mini tutorial, as it were, would be a good idea.
Anyone tried that or seen the need?
