storage question

I just got a copy of 9 Platinum Pro Pack and I am very excited about it.

I would like to store projects on my 1TB external drive.

Is this advisable?

If so,how do I do it?....by simply creating a folder on the external and assigning projects to that folder when I create them? This wont confuse Vegas right?

I am sorry about the newbie questions, I've been away from the game for a long time but am looking to get back in.

Thank you so much.

The actual project is a very small file -- maybe 200kb.
I think what you want to do is store the project and all its media in one folder.
If that is what you want to do, there is a checkbox to "Copy media with project" when you save your project.

Vegas doesn't care where you store things. It won't get confused.

Best procedure is to create an independent folder for each project where you want it to be before you start. Then, capture and store all your media in that directory as well as save the project .vf file there.

A tiny bit of proper housekeeping up front will make life worlds better for you.
