Strange Audio issues with BMCC pro res files

Audio tracks for the pro res files from the black magic cinema camera are causing weird issues I have never seen in many years of working with vegas. The waveforms in the audio tracks are odd looking, off center and thin. If I normalize them, they jump towards the top of the track and don't expand like they normally do.. They don't seem to respond to compression. If I try to raise the volume sometimes the sound suddenly distorts or cuts out. They don't mix well with other audio tracks, causing dropouts. Has anyone ever seen issues like this with audio tracks??

I don't have a solution but another problem when loading audio from the black magic camera:

Vegas builds a "flat-line" peak after it's peak-building process. No audio is imported.

Now, on the original file (which has working audio that I hear when running through a media player, like quicktime), all the sound is terribly peaked; but that hasn't been an issue since vegas has successfully built the waveform for a similar file before.

This is a different issue than the "microsoft soundmapper does not exist" one, but I think it is similar.
