strange cursor behaviour

Mindmatter wrote on 10/22/2023, 12:24 PM

Hi all

at the risk of seeming somewhat demented...the cursor seems to behave differently from how it used to.

I can't click in empty timeline space to the right of the last event anymore to place the next clip from the trimmer. It just won't move past the last frame of the last event.

Also, I repeatedly have to recenter the timeline as the last event and the cursor keep placing themselve to the very right edge of the timeline.

Did I change a setting, or am I making stuff up...?😶

Try this.

I'll withhold comment about whether or not you're demented.

@Mindmatter @jetdv The problem with the last event and cursor that keep placing themselves to very right is caused by being zoomed all the way out. If you zoom in a little and then scroll the trackview to the left, you should be able to add to timeline from trimmer and not have events and cursor spring to the right.

@jetdv sorry I forgot to mention it's V21

@Robert Johnston thanks for the tip! I'm pretty sure tho that I never needed to do that, it's the first time I seem to struggle with that issue.
@john_dennis seems like a sensible workaround, Thanks! ( they don't have a dementicon here...)🎭
