Strange glitch where soundtrack clicks

Yazcui wrote on 5/6/2023, 3:29 PM

I'm using vegas pro 20. I have a project with multiple clips and music. On one particular song, the song clicks 3 or 4 times at about the same place every time I play it back, but not always 3 or 4, sometimes 2-3, but similar spots. When I render it, same thing happens.

I checked the song itself and it's fine. I converted the mp3 to wav, no change. I checked the transitions between video clips to see if that had anything to do with it.

The only thing I can think of is that in this particular sequence, I sped up the video and maybe my computer is having trouble processing it or something (the song itself is very fast too). But since the video is not tied to the audio track, it doesn't make sense to me.

Anything else I can try?

**EDIT TO ADD** I just replaced the song with a different song and the clicks are happening in the same places. So it seems to have something to do with the fast, sped-up sequence of clips that I have on the timeline.

**2ND EDIT** I fixed it! All I did was ungroup the original audio from the clips (even though they were muted) and deleted them. That left the video clip with the music alone and it solved the problem.
