Strange occurance with 7d..... Any ideas??

I set up a render for over night. Rendering an hour of m2t over to uncompressed avi (1902x1080). This morning I get up and I have a popup on the screen both from Vegas and from Vista. Vegas says "unexpected error" and vista says "low disk space".

I have a 750 gig drive and an hour of uncompressed avi is only about 625gig... so what's up?

Well... come to find out, Vegas rendered fine up until the 52 minute mark, then all of a sudden it reverts back to beginning of the time line and starts rendering the whole project over again!!?? So the video is fine until the 52 minute mark... and then it starts again and of course I don't have enough disk space for 2 hours of video (or an hour and 52 minutes) so vegas renders until it runs out of disk space.

Any ideas on what happened??

Hunch---Vista 64 does funny things in "2's" sometimes. Don't know why.

1. Could be Vista, in which case I can't help, 'cause I don't have it.

2. Check your Vegas RAM settings. Reduce it drastically (e.g., down to 64 MB) before rendering and see if that helps.

3. Vegas still has problems with lots (>100) of hi-resolution still photos. If this applies, try down-res'ng them and rendering that.

4. Do you have any TEMP files on drives other than the one with all the space? Both Vegas and Windows can be configured to use almost any drive for TEMP file storage, and these can fill up, causing the low disk space problem.

Thanks guys.

Interesting you say that because right where it reverted back to the beginning again.... was a still (jpg) at 1meg. I down-res'ed from 4meg but I guess it wasn't enough.
