Streaming with .asf prob.

Hi all. I'm eval'ing VV3 for purchase by our department, but we've hit a snag. After rendering out a project to our company's supported streaming files, .rm & .asf, the .rm files will stream fine, the .asf files will not stream. These are single bitrate files, it happens using both the V7 & V8 encoders, but it DOESN'T happen rendering out to WM audio....Is there something basic in the encoding that I'm not getting? We stream tons of stuff here (since we manufacture the filers ;) so our web folks are plenty savvy with the process, which makes me think it's something in what I'm doing or a problem with VV3. Any ideas greatly appreciated! After trying VV3, I don't wanna' have to go back to Premiere!

We are aware of this streaming bug and will be releasing a fix for it in the next Vegas update.

Is there an ETA for that? We just ordered the product about 2 days ago, so if we get it and we can't use it, that's gonna' look a bit bad for me :(

Thanks for the fast response BTW!!! :D

Best,
Jesse

If you Re-index these clips in the Windiws Media ASF Indexer from Microsoft, your clips will work properly. USe this as a workaround until the update is out. we were originally told it would be out in Jan.
