Stretching Event Length

Roger Bansemer wrote on 9/20/2022, 8:27 AM

I've placed a text with zoom and now I want to make the clip longer without the text repeating over and over. I know I can go into Properties and lengthen the duration that way but there is a simpler way to do it right on the timeline. I use to know how but I've totally forgotten.

After searching around I found that on the Legacy Text is where this function was but that option doesn't exist to my knowledge if using the "insert text media". It was a handy feature. I'll try the ctrl+stretch in hopes that it won't jitter the text. Also discovered that in the "insert text media" I can type in the length to match the length I choose..

The option is still there. Just widen the window.

I have found that if I highlight and drag an area (blue area) to the timeline that the text will fill that area. Otherwise by default the text will just fill a 5 second area.
