First, "group" all the related clips together, then you can ctrl-stretch them and it will stretch them out as though they were one long item.

1. Select the first event by clicking it, then ctrl-click on the other events until you have them all selected.

2. Right-click on one of the selected events, select "Group", then select "Create New" (i.e. create a new group with these elements).

3. Ctrl-stretch the last event in the group, and all will stretch out proportionately.

4. Also, if you leave the events grouped, you can slide them left or right on the timeline as one unit. Grouping things is usually a pretty good idea once you have things the way you want them.

That worked fine, but then I couldn't get things ungrouped to adjust and slide individual items. I could remove events one at a time (and the "U" keystroke doesn't work to do this) which is a nuisance, and the "Ignore Group" button sometimes works or not. Is there any way to dissolve a group when done with it? In prior versions of MS they disappeared immediately which was a nuisance in the opposite extreme.
