string together a series of projects

I just updgraded from VF to VV4. VF used to give me some choppy video now and then, but this hasn't happened with VV. I'm very happy.

I created 4 small projects that now I want to string together into one long video. In the pase, I have just printed them one at a time to my camcorder to accomplish this. How do I do this easily in VV? Is there some way to APPEND one video project to another?

Open a second instance of VV...copy and paste the data from one project into the other.

I tried that, but the top track I use for titles gets out of alignment.

What's the trick to keep all the events in all the tracks grouped together prior to the copy?

Render all 4 projects to separate AVI files. Then, create a NEW project and add these 4 AVI files and then print to tape.

if you are doing a straight copy and paste - nothing should get out of alignment. But if it does, then you can go into the project and tweak it to your satisfaction.

Of course you could always render the other three as it's own new file and import into the first project....but then if you wanted to make changes, you would have to go back to the original and start all over again.

You can group the items - if you like - then copy and paste....but I'm of the mind that once you have the events in the first project - just tweak them up to what you need then render.

Thanks to both of you.

I'm feeling stupid for not thinking of just adding the three rendered .avi files to the first project. That's exactly what I need/want to do. I already have the four separate files, each with black at both ends. All I wanted to do was make sure the black between the four sections was an appropriate duration.

I knew there was an easy way..
