Not much to go on here. System specs? Media types? workflow you are attempting? GPU driver versions?

4K Mov shot with GH4.

Created Proxy files in Vegas Pro 12. Getting strobing on one timeline.

Horizontal noise on another.

This has never happened.

Recently spent 7 hundred dollars (CAN) on HDs and SSD. Anything above inducate power supply or maybe processor/motherboard issue

Is your footage 4096×2160 or 3840×2160?

What frame rate?

Are you just using Vegas smart proxies?

Are you on VP12 build 770?

If GPU rendering of video processing is on in your video preferences, try turning it off.

daniel-s7451 wrote on 1/1/2017, 11:55 AM

4096X2160, 24p, using "create video proxy" drop down from project media, build 770,

Aw,...somehow GPU rendering got turned on.

Off now but same flickering.

May be a drive issue?

Similar video files on other drives seem to work okay.

Doesn't really sound like the symptoms of a faulty drive. Copy those exact same files to another drive and then you will know. If they're part of an existing project then copy the project and relink the offline files.

Did that, and things seems to have cleared up. Never been a tech guy. A disadvantage for lone wolves like me. Now to figure out why my wireless mouse has a mind of its own. 😗 Thanks for your help Nick.
