Hi, my only experience in NLE is editing with Studio 8. I have an AVI file with aprox. 30 minutes of video. When I open this file in Studio 8 it makes a list of "scenes" (camera cuts). Then I select the scenes I want to include in my movie and arrange them in the timeline.

Now the questions:
How should I work with Vegas ? Should I select each "scene" in the Trimmer Window and then add it to the timeline ?
Is there a way to auto-detect the camera cuts ?
It's better to divide the capture in various AVI's ?
What's your approach when you edit a 30 min tape ?
