Having run HD platinum for a number of years it mysteriously stopped working with an unmanaged exception sys32\dinput8.dll message.
After numerous attempts to correct this uninstalling and reinstalling the software I finally came across a comment relating to a failure of the software related to other software being used on a USB connection.
I had recently installed a weather station on a USB connection on my PC.
Disconnecting this solved the problem and I thought there may be others that may benefit from this info.
